Victor Chavez

Victor F. Chavez of Hobbs, New Mexico entered the arms of our Heavenly Father on May 1, 2023.

Victor was born August 14, 1958, in Pecos, Texas to Melchor and Margarita Chavez. Victor (Tio Vickie) was quite a character. One of the fondest memories was his pockets full of candy that he loved to give to his nieces and nephews. He was kind and humble, he would give his shirt off his back to anyone. He was a simple man with a big heart, and he loved his family dearly. Victor was loved by so many.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Melchor and Margarita Chavez, Brother Pilar and Adolfo Chavez, Grandmother Barbara Fuentes, Nephews Michael and Pilar Jr. Chavez, Gilbert Martinez, Brother in Laws Joe Martinez, Moses Lujan, Manuel Roman, Ernesto Matta, Nieces Anissa Salazar, and Daniell Chavez.

Left to treasure all the great memories are his sons Jacob Chavez and Mark Reyes, sisters Evangelina Lujan, Lourdes Matta, Socorro Martinez, Lorena Chavez, and Elva Jaquez, a host of other family, friends, nieces, and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him. We love you Tio!
