Violet Lyons

Violet Marjorie Loffler Lyons, 88, passed away April 10, 2016 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, April 15, 2016 at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Chapel. Interment will be in Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1:00-7:00 PM. Thursday at Griffin Funeral Home with the family to greet friends from 5:00-7:00 pm.
Violet was born on October 20, 1927, to Louis and Susie Loffler, in Megargel, Texas. She married JP Lyons on May 22, 1946. They lived most of their lives in Hobbs, New Mexico. She was a life member of Desk and Derrick Club and Highland Baptist Church in Hobbs. She moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, in 2007. She was a member of Garden Senior Center and YMCA where she enjoyed line dancing. Mrs. Lyons is preceded in death by her mother and father, husband and a sister, Betty Roach.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie Howell (Randy) of Corpus Christi, Texas; her son, Ronnie Lyons (Pat) of Boise, Idaho; one brother, Bob Loffler of Seminole, Texas; 7 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
