Charles Randolph Breckon passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, in Hobbs surrounded by his loving family.
Charles was born to Charles Gotham and Thelma Lucille Breckon on February 2, 1940, here in Hobbs. He was a lifelong resident of Hobbs except for his time in the United States Navy. He retired from the Navy after serving for Nineteen years and nine months. While serving he was an Aviation Machinist. He loved spending time with his family and spending time outdoors. He also loved playing Bingo and watching How It’s Made, and crime shows on TV, was a proud member of the NRA and an avid bird watcher.
Charles is survived by his son, Randolph and his wife Norma of Hobbs, three daughters, Julia Bridge of Lubbock, Clara Breckon and her husband Steve Nickson of Hobbs and Marion Breckon and her husband David of Hobbs. Cousins Jerry Payton Underwood of Oklahoma and Travis “Sonny” Breckon of California also survive him.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Thelma Breckon, two brothers, William and Timothy Breckon, a son-in-law Jerry Bridge, wife Phyllis Breckon, and ex-wife Edna Breckon.
