Connie Peoples

Connie J. Peoples, 59, of Hobbs, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 in Lubbock, TX. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Griffin Funeral Home with Pastor Benny Greenlee, officiating.

Connie was born on September 1, 1955 in Lufkin, TX to Doner and Ollie Mae Griffin. She married Lee Peoples on April 26, 1970 in Seminole, TX and they celebrated over 44 wonderful years of marriage. Connie enjoyed fishing, watching game shows and working puzzles. She had a big heart and loved to laugh. She loved life, but her true love was her family. Connie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jimmy.

Survivors include her husband, Lee Peoples of Hobbs; sons, Roy Peoples of Hobbs and Michael Peoples of Big Spring, TX; sister, Alpha Lowrie of Greenwood, AR; brothers, Clifton Griffin of Knoxville, TN, Donnie Griffin and Ronnie Griffin of Hobbs, Billy Griffin of Wink, TX and Scotty Griffin of Waco, TX; mother-in-law, Evelyn Rodgers of Hobbs; 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
