Macario Perez

Macario Perez, 73, of Hobbs, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 PM, Friday, December 11, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Ruben Romero, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Memorial Park. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM. Thursday the 10th at Griffin Funeral Home.

Macario was born on March 25, 1942 in Carichi, Mexico to Ignacio and Josefa Perez. He worked as a farmworker, carpenter, construction worker, welder and builder of all things throughout his life. Macario was a hard worker and taught that to his children. He always helped people in need. Macario enjoyed traveling and loved to watch old movies and wrestling. He especially loved his children and grandchildren. Macario was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bernabe Perez and son, Juan Gonzalez.

Survivors include his daughters, Luisa Lerma (Carlos) and Christina Perez; sons, Armando Gonzalez (Sandra), Aaron Varela (Rachel), Ignacio Perez, Jose Luis Perez and Daniel Perez; sisters, Francisca Prieto and Isiodoro Granado; brothers, Robert Perez and Pedro Perez; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
